-- "Learning Life's Lessons." UB Associate Editor Michele Herrmann interviewed Roger H. Known for its emphasis on "The Great Books," Martin talks about everything from befriending students to grasping works by Homer to what his experience can teach higher ed administrators.
--  "Take the Leap." Ronald Kennedy, executive director of Distance Learning and Graduate Studies at Liberty University (Va.), writes about the challenges traditional institutions encounter as they develop online courses and advises them on what direction to take.
-- "Collaboration or Die," by Chris Yeh, vice president of enterprise marketing for PBwiki, highlights how the rise of Web 2.0 and the accompanying developments of wikis, blogs, and social-networking and video sharing sites can bring about collaboration in the classroom. He cites examples involving DePaul University School for New Learning and Southwest Baptist University (Mo.).
